Tomato Days . 2012

Last weekend was our city's annual heritage days - Tomato Days!  Living in a small town definitely has it's perks, and for us, Tomato Days is one of them!

We start out on Saturday with the city's sponsored dinner.  The day was full of rain storms, so we were a bit hesitant to go - the weather cleared up just in time, and were glad we went.  All through dinner Ryder was eyeing the playset, so we let him have a few minutes to play...until the rain started again!

Having fun on the slides!

This slide is 15 feet(?) tall - Ryder insisted that he could do it on his own...he LOVED it!

Tomato Days picks back up on Labor Day.  This year was the first we didn't enter a baby in the Baby Show (all three boys are still eligible, but none would really love it), so we headed to the Breakfast in the Park.  Following breakfast, Ryder played again on the playset, while we waited for the Children's Games and vendors to open.

After proving himself the last visit, Ryder was extra confident - notice him STANDING at the top!

Ryder really enjoyed playing the games this year.  He didn't care much about most of the prizes, which worked out well - he was happy to share his winnings with his brothers!  Ryder asked to go on the inflatable slide, but then got too nervous once he had to climb up the ladder...so, we got our tickets back, and headed over to the train - of course, Ryder LOVED this!

The weather was nice, but still hot - some Italian Ice to share was the perfect treat.  We spent a little more time on the playset before getting lunch, and heading home for naps.

Harvick (top) and Jarrett (bottom) had so much fun going down the slide (over and over and over...)!

Before we could even get to the car Harvick (far left) fell asleep.  What you can't see in this picture is that the boys' shirts were all filthy - pancake syrup, watermelon juice, Italian Ice, juice, crackers, and lunch...what a mess!

We had such a fun day, and are already looking forward to next year!
