Harvick and Jarrett got to share the jogging stroller (thankfully, they fit side by side, even with Harvick's harness!), and Ryder was on his feet! We took the slings/wraps just in case either Harvick or Jarrett didn't cooperate, or Ryder insisted on being pushed.
Sitting in the stroller together (we reclined the seat more when we were actually walking). (Jarrett on the left, Harvick on the right) |
Ryder was a little unsure at first - he seemed confused as to why he wasn't in the stroller. Patrick got him excited about walking himself by playing chase with him . . .
Ryder LOVES to be chased! If only a picture could capture his hysterical laughter! |
Running his hand along the fence as we walked. |
Harvick got a little fussy only a few minutes in - thankfully, Patrick walking beside him, holding his pacifier and talking kept him calm until he relaxed again! |
Stopping to smell the flowers! |
Another fence for Ryder to run his hand along! |
We'll be letting him walk more often now!
We're still weighing our options about which stroller to purchase. Recent weekend outings have showed us just how hard a triple stroller would be to maneuver. The side-by-side ones aren't really an option, since they are wider than sidewalks and doorways, but the long ones are cumbersome and hard to maneuver in a crowd. At this point we are thinking we will hold out until next Spring/Summer (using our wraps/slings and jogging stroller will work for a few months) to figure out what will be best.

Don't you still have the stroller that matches the carseats? Could you just use those for each boy when they get a little too big to share one? Just a thought. I admire your persistence in walking!
I don't know if you saw the stroller I was using at the farmer's market saturday but it is a side by side Maclaren. I am borrowing it from a friend for a few more weeks but it has been pretty great so far. I don't know if you need three seats but for the twins it would be great. It fits through all the doors I have tried (even in my house) and maneuvers great considering it's a double. It doesn't have cupholders but I think the brand new ones do. The new ones also come with rain covers. They are around 250-300 dollars new but ksl often has them for sale. Hope you find a good deal. I love that picture of you and ryder at the end of the post.
